    I didn’t watch this show but I agree with you about the children’s menu perspective. Very few restaurants can be all things to all people. I would expect that the few that can do it have the scale and awareness of McDonald’s.

    I have to admit when I saw the pilot for this show I wasn’t sure what to expect. I like watching Food Network and most of the cooking competition shows. I thought some of the initial ideas of the contestants were a little underdeveloped. Those who are left now have refined their ideas and have gotten better with making things happen with their product ideas. I work for Dish Network and I missed episode 7 when it aired, luckily for me I was able to go on DishOnline.com and stream it on my laptop. At this point I think it’s hard to tell who is going to make it. This challenge with the kids is crucial for any new restaurant because people want something quick and easy that their kids will enjoy.

    I agree with you and Chris. Maybe because the show is geared for a television audience the producers don’t need to target as much as a QSR?
    I am annoyed by the many double standards that the judges seem to have as well.
    Like Steve Ells claiming that Chipotle is kid friendly!? Many kids may enjoy eating there, but I am not aware of a kids menu.
